Contribute an Original Article to this Tutorial

There are already many lists of lists of lists of nuclear data on the World Wide Web. With the exception of a few listings in the Appendix, NUCLEONICS-ONLINE is not another simple compilation of sources of nuclear physics information. Our goal is to present detailed and as specific as possible information arranged by subject matter.

With the way things are right now, most of this information will have to be gathered from existing WWW pages and re-arranged to suit the objectives of this Tutorial. Our long-range goal is, however, to turn NUCLEONICS-ONLINE into an online publication similar to printed textbooks in form and content. Information presented in NUCLEONICS-ONLINE will always be free to the public, and we solicit contributions from the public to make this Tutorial a useful reference to all of us.

We especially welcome original contributions to narrow and specific subject matter similar to paragraphs or chapters in textbooks. Many of us already share our knowledge by contributing lengthy summaries to mailing lists and user groups. These laborious works are more or less lost to posterity, although some of this material can be retrieved by search engines. A better way to save such summaries should be to list them in NUCLEONICS-ONLINE and then to refer to them in listservers and user groups.

Those members of the applied nuclear physics community who in the past have published papers in magazines or presented papers at meetings may want to publish summaries of their research in NUCLEONICS-ONLINE. These summaries could then be kept up to date by periodic revisions.

Articles contributed to NUCLEONICS-ONLINE should have a form and content that is similar to paragraphs in printed textbooks. Separate subjects should be presented on separate pages. Related pages should contain links to each other. Links to supporting material already on the WWW should also be made. Authors of NUCLEONICS-ONLINE articles will be fully acknowledged at the head of their article, and should list their E-mail address so that readers of their article can contact the author if they have questions regarding the publication.

If possible, articles for inclusion in NUCLEONICS-ONLINE should be submitted in HTML format. If this is not possible, we will also accept ASCII material and simple graphs and convert them to HTML format without charge to the author.
